Care Led by Experienced Physical Therapists

The ECPT Standard

Elliott Concierge Physical Therapy was built for clients who want a better way to recover - more personal than a traditional clinic, more convenient than traveling across the city, and more focused than rushed, insurance-driven care.

Every session is one-on-one and designed around your goals, your environment, and your schedule. In Chicago, that may mean care in your home, condo, office, private gym, or residential building fitness center.

Founded by Matthew Elliott, PT, DPT

Matthew Elliott is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the founder of Elliott Concierge Physical Therapy. After seeing how traditional physical therapy can feel rushed, crowded, and disconnected from the way people actually live, he created ECPT around private care, clear communication, and thoughtful clinical progression.

Our goal is to help clients feel better, move better, and return to the activities that matter most - without unnecessary friction, wasted time, or a generic clinic experience.

Why Concierge Physical Therapy Works So Well in Chicago

In Chicago, getting to physical therapy can become part of the problem. Travel time, parking, traffic, weather, elevators, crowded gyms, and rushed appointments all add friction to your recovery.

Our model removes that friction. We bring expert care to you, work in the environment where you actually live and move, and build a plan around your schedule, goals, and lifestyle.

How to get started

  • Call or text now to schedule . Not ready to schedule? Navigate to the “Request Care” tab, and sign up for a free phone consultation to further discuss your case, and what we can do to help.

  • During your initial evaluation, your therapist will take several measures with the intent of identifying the injured tissue, the mechanism of injury, and your current physical capabilities. This will be the foundation for tailoring each session to your needs. This may involve measuring balance, flexibility, strength, and special tests for diagnosing injury.

  • Treatment sessions typically consist of your therapist performing hands on therapy (think cupping, massage, taping, Dry Needling etc), followed by exercise. You should notice a sizable improvement after just one session.

  • After just a few sessions, you’ll be back to the activities you enjoy. Whether it’s walking, fishing, or caring for your children. The time to start is now.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my insurance?

Yes, we utilize your out-of-network benefits whenever possible to help decrease your cost of care. For patients without out-of-network benefits who still want to receive one-on-one skilled physical therapy, we provide single-visit rates and package options.

Do you accept Medicare?

Elliott Concierge Physical Therapy is a private-pay and out-of-network concierge physical therapy practice. If you are a Medicare beneficiary, please contact us before scheduling so we can determine whether our services are appropriate for your situation and explain your options clearly.

This is important because Medicare has specific rules around physical therapy coverage, private-pay services, and home health eligibility.

How long will each session last?

The initial session lasts a full 60 minutes. After that, you may have the opportunity to choose between 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions depending on your case, your goals, and your availability.

Where do sessions take place?

Your therapist comes to you. Sessions may take place in your home, apartment, condo, office, private gym, senior living residence, or another appropriate private space.

Your therapist will bring the necessary equipment. In most cases, all you need is roughly a 6’ x 6’ open area.

What does a session look like?

Sessions vary from person to person. For most clients, treatment includes a combination of hands-on therapy, movement assessment, corrective exercise, strengthening, balance or mobility work, and education.

Depending on your case, care may also include reviewing imaging, coordinating with your physician, helping you understand your surgical precautions, or building a long-term plan to stay active and independent.

Do I need a physician referral?

In many cases, you can begin physical therapy without a physician referral. However, depending on your medical history, surgery, diagnosis, insurance situation, or state-specific requirements, we may recommend or require coordination with your physician.

If you recently had surgery, we are happy to review your physician’s protocol or post-operative instructions.

What areas do you serve?

We serve select Chicago neighborhoods and surrounding areas by application, including Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Gold Coast, River North, Streeterville, Old Town, West Loop, Bucktown, Wicker Park, and nearby communities.

Availability depends on your location, therapist schedule, parking/access considerations, and travel distance.

Is concierge physical therapy right for me?

Concierge physical therapy is a good fit if you want private, one-on-one care, prefer not to travel to a clinic, value convenience, and want a more personalized experience than traditional outpatient physical therapy.

It may be especially helpful after surgery, during a pain flare-up, when balance or mobility has declined, or when you want expert guidance to stay active, independent, and performing at a high level.
