Founder - Concierge Physical Therapist

Dr. Matthew Elliott, Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of Elliott Concierge Physical Therapy in Naples, Florida.

Why I Became a Physical Therapist

Growing up, I was surrounded by physical therapy as my family recovered from serious injuries - whiplash, complex regional pain syndrome, and sports related trauma. I saw firsthand the power of expert care in restoring mobility, confidence, and quality of life. That experience inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others regain movement and live Pain Free.

My Treatment Approach

I combine traditional physical therapy with advanced hands-on techniques to provide the most effective, results-driven care. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, ensuring faster recovery and long term success. My approach includes:

- Active Release Therapy (ART): Reduces soft tissue restrictions for improved mobility.

- Trigger Point Dry Needling: Targets muscle knots and relieves pain.

- Joint Mobilizations and Manipulations: Enhances movement and function.

- Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training: Builds strength safely and effectively.

- Therapeutic Cupping & Taping: Supports recovery and enhances performance.

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or optimizing performance for golf or tennis, I bring expert, one-on-one care directly to your home - so you can heal without the hassle of a clinic.

Education & Experience

- Doctorate in Physical Therapy: Bradley University (2016)

- Extensive training in manual therapy & vestibular rehabilitation

- Managed outpatient PT clinics in Louisville, Montgomery, & Naples,

- PT for the rich and famous in Manhattan, and Miami.

- Most recently worked in Naples specializing in luxury care for high net worth clients.

How to get started

  • Navigate to the “Schedule” tab, and schedule an initial evaluation. Not ready to schedule? Fill out a form below for a free phone consultation to further discuss your case, and what we can do to help.

  • During your initial evaluation, your therapist will take several measures with the intent of identifying the injured tissue, the mechanism of injury, and your current physical capabilities. This will be the foundation for tailoring each session to your needs. This may involve measuring balance, flexibility, strength, and special tests for diagnosing injury.

  • Treatment sessions typically consist of your therapist performing hands on therapy (think cupping, massage, taping, Dry Needling etc), followed by exercise. You should notice a sizable improvement after just one session.

  • After just a few sessions, you’ll be back to the activities you enjoy. Whether it’s walking, fishing, or caring for your children. The time to start is now.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my insurance?

Yes, we utilize your out-of-network benefits whenever possible to help decrease your cost of care. For patients without out-of-network benefits who still want to receive one-on-one skilled physical therapy, we provide single-visit rates and package options.

Do you accept Medicare?

Elliott Concierge Physical Therapy is a private-pay and out-of-network concierge physical therapy practice. If you are a Medicare beneficiary, please contact us before scheduling so we can determine whether our services are appropriate for your situation and explain your options clearly.

This is important because Medicare has specific rules around physical therapy coverage, private-pay services, and home health eligibility.

How long will each session last?

The initial session lasts a full 60 minutes. After that, you may have the opportunity to choose between 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions depending on your case, your goals, and your availability.

Where do sessions take place?

Your therapist comes to you. Sessions may take place in your home, condo, senior living residence, private club, private gym, office, or another appropriate private space.

Your therapist will bring the necessary equipment. In most cases, all you need is roughly a 6’ x 6’ open area.

What does a session look like?

Sessions vary from person to person. For most clients, treatment includes a combination of hands-on therapy, movement assessment, corrective exercise, strengthening, balance or mobility work, and education.

Depending on your case, care may also include reviewing imaging, coordinating with your physician, helping you understand your surgical precautions, improving your confidence with daily activities, or building a long-term plan to stay active and independent.

Do I need a physician referral?

In many cases, you can begin physical therapy without a physician referral. However, depending on your medical history, surgery, diagnosis, insurance situation, or state-specific requirements, we may recommend or require coordination with your physician.

If you recently had surgery, we are happy to review your physician’s protocol or post-operative instructions.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, and select surrounding Southwest Florida communities by application.

Availability depends on your location, therapist schedule, community access, and travel distance.

Is concierge physical therapy right for me?

Concierge physical therapy is a good fit if you want private, one-on-one care, prefer not to travel to a clinic, value convenience, and want a more personalized experience than traditional outpatient physical therapy.

It may be especially helpful after surgery, during a pain flare-up, when balance or mobility has declined, when you want to stay active with golf, tennis, walking, or fitness, or when you want expert guidance to remain independent at home.
